French Pension reform Strikes
Clement Gibon Stories
France is hit by strikes and protests as unions fight Macron’s pension reform which plans to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64 years old. More than a million French people joined the January 19 demonstrations against the pension reform.
More than 200 demonstrations were organized throughout the country on the initiative of workers’ unions and all of them gathered tens of thousands of people who were dissatisfied and opposed to the pension reform. In the coming weeks, similar demonstrations will take place all over France.
This series of photographs aims to come back on these different demonstrations and in particular to highlight how the citizens organize and what is the response of the government.
